Miami Beach

Miami Beach consists of three main areas: South Beach, Mid-Beach, and North Beach. The southern area, South Beach.

Miami Beach

Miami Beach — this is an island. Not a metaphor, but geography. An island in the Atlantic, connected to the mainland by bridges. Here you'll find white sand, green palms, new buildings, houses, art deco style, and street life that doesn't turn off even at night. Even on a map from space, Miami Beach looks like an elegant beach city with its own charm. It's a place where you can enjoy a holiday all year round.

If you're looking for a place to vacation in January, stroll in March, sunbathe in November, and do it all — in shorts and with a cocktail in hand, then Miami Beach is your city!

Miami Beach is an island, a city

Miami Beach is an island. Not a metaphor, but geography. An island in the Atlantic, connected to the mainland by bridges. Here you find white sand, green palm trees, new buildings, homes, art deco style, and street life that never stops, not even at night. Even from a satellite map, Miami Beach appears as a graceful, beach city with its own flair. It's a place where you can enjoy a vacation all year round.

If you're looking for a place where you can relax in January, stroll in March, sunbathe in November, and do all this in shorts with a cocktail in hand, then Miami Beach is your city!

Where it is and why to go there

Miami Beach is a resort in the state of Florida, USA. It's not a district of Miami, as many think, but a separate city. It’s famous for:

  • Beaches. Fine sand, warm ocean, 45 km of clean coastline.

  • Architecture. The Art Deco District is a unique open-air museum.

  • Nightlife. Clubs, bars, rooftop parties — there are more of them here than pharmacies.

  • Climate. +25 even in winter. You can swim year-round.

The population is about 90 thousand. In summer, there are five times more tourists.

How to get there

The nearest airport is Miami International Airport, 6 km from the center of Miami Beach. You can get there:

  • by bus (routes 79, 101, 103, 110).

  • by taxi (from $30).

  • by rented car (but parking is expensive).

Trains haven’t run to the city since 1935. And they are not needed — the bus network works excellently.

Districts of Miami Beach

Miami Beach is divided into three parts. Each has its own character:

1. South Beach

The party center. Here:

  • Ocean Drive — a street with cafés, bars, convertibles.

  • Hotels with rooftop pools.

  • The liveliest beaches.

2. Mid-Beach

A bit quieter. Lots of family hotels, promenades, and greenery. The best choice for a family vacation.

3. North Beach

Locals live here. It's calmer, with fewer tourists and lower prices. But it's also farther from the main attractions.

Beaches

Beaches in Miami Beach are free, well-maintained, and safe. Sunbeds are paid; lifeguards are polite.

What you should know:

  • Haulover Beach is the only nudist beach.

  • South Pointe Park is picturesque and not crowded.

  • Lummus Park Beach is for those who want to sunbathe to music and be near the party.

Where to stay

There are many hotels. Formats vary. Rentals are also available.

  • Want glamour and parties — choose a hotel on Ocean Drive.

  • Need tranquility — look for accommodation further north or inland.

  • Looking to save? There are hostels and hotels with breakfast, but book in advance — the cheap ones go fast.
  • Simply buy your own housing: an apartment or a house. When you're away: earn income from clients.

It's a city where you want to live slowly, yet vibrantly: take a morning stroll along the promenade, enjoy fresh seafood in the afternoon, and watch the sunset with a cocktail in hand in the evening. Everything is nearby, everything is accessible, everything is fun. Let's start with the main thing — food.

Food
